  1. SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION – AN ONGOING INVESTMENT

  2. Optimising your website for search engines is an ongoing investment. It is not a one-time big-time thing. As you know, search engines regularly update over time, and so should your SEO campaigns. If you stop and don’t keep up with the changes, the ranking of your site will likely suffer. When that happens, there’s a risk to going back to square one. Your previous efforts to improve your ranking will be wasted. Don’t let that happen. This article aims to argue why SEO campaigns should be an ongoing investment. Quick Recall! A search engine is defined as a program that crawls, indexes, and retrieves the content of a website from the internet to answer a user’s query. It uses an algorithm to decide how the page should rank in their search engine results page. This algorithm gets updated every now and then. It changes through time because of advancement in technology and machine learning.

  3. According to Forbes, some business owners believe that search engine optimisation should only be implemented when the site launches. The benefits of the initial SEO campaigns will always be fine and it will never require updates. Now, they might think that right now they have a good ranking. But wait until the algorithm gets updated. According to Matt Cutts, Google changes its algorithm 350 to 400 times a year. Wait until there’s a new technology or a new practice. There is image and voice search now, what about the future?

  4. Or what if there’s a new competitor that does their SEO campaign effectively? Every day, business competitors enter the industry. There will always be changes in the SEO industry. What happens if they are not able to keep up with these changes? Their rank will likely drop. And so will their online driven revenues. Don’t let it happen to you. Remember, an online SEO strategy is a strategy -not a project. It does not and should not end. Your SEO campaign should be trackable, measurable, flexible but accountable for any kind of outcome. It needs to be an ongoing investment to allow your brand to grow and thrive in the changing times.
