  1. In this age, social media marketing is essential for most businesses. However, while social media is generally beneficial for marketers, choosing the right platform can take some time and effort for research. Fortunately, Branex put together a helpful overview of some of the largest social media platforms' essential stats and insights. You can base your social media marketing strategy here.

  2. Facebook  On approximate, Facebook is the biggest platform; boasting a large 2.23 Billion number of monthly active users. Right now it has 60 Million active business pages, and 93% of marketers and social media advertisers use Facebook Ads. The biggest reason for you to choose Facebook as your platform is that it is easy to target customers from its large number of users. The drawback is that posts from friends and family are a priority over posts from businesses.

  3. Twitter The benefit of choosing Twitter is that it is a great platform to get in touch with influencers. It is also easy to connect to other businesses to get advice and find great content, however a tweet has a short lifespan and can get buried easily under hundreds of new tweets. With 336 Million monthly active users, 6000 tweets are sent every second. That amounts to 500 Million tweets a day.

  4. Instagram One of the best visual platforms to use is Instagram, which promotes a higher reach and post engagement compared to other networks. It has 1 Billion active users, wherein 80% of them follow a business. Products are also present in 65% of its top performing posts. The negative side of using this platform for marketing, however, is that clickable links are not allowed in captions and can make it difficult to achieve higher click-through-rates.

  5. LinkedIn Right now, LinkedIn is the home of 61 Million senior level influencers and holds the title of the most extensive professional network in the world.  About 80% of B2B leads come from LinkedIn, and 94% of B2B marketers use the site as a content distribution channel. The main downside of choosing LinkedIn is that it is difficult to build a sizable following on it. So, what platform do you think is best for your business? Tell us your thoughts.
