LCME Site VisitNovember 15 - 18, 2009 • Areas of Strength • The institution’s experience in recovering from a major disaster has created an admirable culture that has fostered re-growth and loyalty. • The senior leadership has demonstrated accessibility and engagement with faculty and students in the rebuilding of the academic environment. • The SLC and CAP have established extensive simulation training opportunities to enhance skill-building and complement other areas of medical education. • The student-run Aesculapian Society enhances educational quality and provides a valuable component to the overall program evaluation system. • The accessibility and responsiveness of the Student Affairs office is admirable.
