  2. Stel je geest in stil vertrouwen,Nu maar open voor de kracht,

  3. Die God ook aan jou wil geven,Als je biddend op Hem wacht.

  4. Ga niet af op jouw gevoelens,Strijd niet stug je eigen strijd,

  5. Maar probeer tot rust te komen, In Gods tegenwoordigheid.

  6. Leg je twijfel en je onmacht,Maar eenvoudig in Zijn hand,

  7. Dan zal Hij de weg wel banen, God staat immers aan jouw kant.

  8. Al beperkt je eigen kleinheid dikwijls je geloofsterrein,

  9. Waag het maar met de belofte,dat Hij er voor jou zal zijn.

  10. En al durf je met die waarheid, Soms haast niet in zee te gaan,

  11. Omdat jij als mens, Zijn leiding,lang niet altijd kunt verstaan.

  12. Blijf dan toch maar hoopvol uitzien,naar de doorbraak van Zijn plan,

  13. Want Hij rust niet voor Zijn heil, zich ook aan jou voltrekken kan.

  14. In de glans van die beleving,vind je hoe dan ook de moed,

  15. Om het leven aan te kunnen,Zo alleen maakt Hij het goed.
