Enhancing Alumni Engagement: An Interactive Online Environment for CBA Alumni and Families

This project aims to create an interactive online platform for alumni and their families of CBA, divided into four phases. Phase I focuses on gathering and updating alumni information through interactive forms. Phase II will develop a searchable online directory. Phase III introduces email forwarding capabilities and event notifications, while Phase IV will facilitate online donations and support for CBA. Utilizing Oracle 9i Database and Java Web technologies, the project is underway, with Phase I expected to complete by December 15, 2002, and Phase II by February 15, 2003.

Description Four Phases of the Project • Phase I - Interactive forms to collect Alumni information and friends of CBA (parents of CBA students or alumni)Interactive forms to update existing alumni information(What is New with You)Career Opportunities • Phase II - Online searchable directory based on available and released information by the alumni

  3. Description(Continued) Four Phases of the Project: • Phase III- Email Forwarding capabilities such as mailing lists, News and Events for Alumni, and email postcards. • Phase IV - Ways to give and support CBA via online gift and donation solicitation.

  4. Technology • Oracle 9i Database • To match the current trend and University’s Student Information System database • To transfer or collect information from the current student information system at CBA • Java Web Application Technology • Java Server Pages • Java Servlet

  5. Current Status • Phase I in Progress Alumni Student • Can login to the server • Can request their record • Can update their record and decide to be included in the online directory or not • Expected Completion Date for Phase I • December 15th, 2002

  6. Current Status • Phase II in Progress Alumni Student • Can view the online directory • Can search for a colleague by • First name • Last name • Full name • Can update their record • Expected Completion Date for Phase II • February 15th, 2003
