  2. Mechanical Engineering Manpower • Mechanical engineering manpower consists of those individuals designing the hardware and fixtures associated with • Removing and installing steel flux return components • Removing barrel RPCs • Installing brass absorber • Installing LST detectors • LST gas system • Installing electronics racks, HV components, wireways, etc. • Any miscellaneous hardware associated with the IFR Improvement Project H.J. Krebs

  5. Engineering Manpower Issues • All participants are heavily committed elsewhere • Several individuals can be classified as “critical” to the mission • Loss of almost anyone will probably have an adverse effect on the engineering and design schedule • 2005 installation engineering manpower and organization is probably identical to that of 2004 • Integration between LST teams and also between LST teams and BaBar systems has been fairly informal up to this point but much effort is expended here • For Safety Oversight, see talk by Frank O’Neil • Positive comments • The West Coast engineering and design team is highly experienced and motivated • Weekly meetings occur for mechanical engineering and installation team and also for the LST West Coast Team • The teams appears to be working as a coordinated unit H.J. Krebs
