The RNA was subjected to reverse transcription and PCR amplification according to protocols described in Materials and Methods and the resulting DNA fragments were separated on agarose gels. Expression of CEACAM1 was revealed by the presence of a 270 bp fragment whereas APC expression produced a 120 bp frament. The integrity of the samples was controlled by gauging expression of the glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate dehydrogenase RNA (G3PDH, 210 bp).
