  2. Subject Pronouns • You can also use subject pronouns to tell who is completing the action. Subject pronouns replace names. • Élescuchamúsica. • He listens to music. • Ellacanta y baila. • She sings and dances.

Subject Pronouns • Tú, Ud., and Uds. all mean you. • Use tú with family, friends, people your age/ younger, & anyone you call by their first name. • Use usted(Ud.) with adults you address with a title, such as Sr., Sra., or Srta. • Use ustedes (Uds.) when talking to more than one person, regardless of age to say you all.

Subject Pronouns • If a group is made up of males only or males and females together, use the masculine forms: nosotros, ellos • If a group is all females, use the feminine forms: nosotras, ellas • You can combine a subject pronoun & a name to form a subject: Alejandro y yo = nosotrosPepe y tú = Uds. Carlos y ella = ellosLola y ella = ellas
