  3. Before you Read • Read a traditional tale of “The Three Little Pigs”. • Write down three facts you find about wolves. • What do you notice about the wolf in the story compared to the facts you have found about wolves? What seems to be true or untrue?

  4. While You ReadComplete thefollowing chart while you read the book, “The True Story of The Three Little Pigs” by Jon Scieszka.

  5. After You Read • Complete the Venn diagram on the next slide. Compare and contrast the traditional tale of “The Three Little Pigs” to “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs”. • In groups of two compare your story charts. • Using Popsicle sticks, glue, and colored markers design a sturdy house for the three little pigs.
