  1. TeV Decommissioning Working Group Meeting (WGM) What we have done and what we’re not doing! Paul C Czarapata

  2. Tevatron Tunnel Status All devices locked out Helium circuit being purged with dry air • Oxygen levels at ODH Class 0 Nitrogen circuit being purged with dry air • Oxygen levels at ODH Class 0 Procedure and Hazard Analysis currently submitted to Cryogenic Safety Panel for approval. • After approval tunnel will be officially classified as ODH Class 0 Paul C Czarapata

  3. Service Buildings All devices LOTO controlled like a long shutdown • Some Controls crates left on for monitoring. • Transfer hall still fully functional for Test Beam and SEAQUEST All requests for equipment being approved by me. • Some Beam Position Monitoring Crates removed for use in NoVA/ANU Three cryo buildings still being used and not shut down yet Paul C Czarapata

  4. FESS n Us Great cooperation! Thank you Had meetings with FESS to understand Pond and LCW cooling needs. Also met with FESS to understand maintenance needs for sump pumps, HVAC, etc. for service buildings. Have a preliminary idea for how to recirculate the pond water needed for Transfer Hall without running the entire ring pond pumps. Still dotting the “I’s” and crossing the “t’s” Paul C Czarapata

  5. Problems The largest single problem is the uncertainty of needing to preserve the F – B sectors for an Accelerator experiment. • The Accelerator experiment wants the low beta quads in place OR Planning on the possible reuse of F – B sectors for a Kaon experiment. • The Kaon experiment wants conventional magnets Cryogenics is requesting transformers from cryo service buildings for the ASTA facility Paul C Czarapata

  6. Summary No surprises just confusion on the fate of the various area’s. Proposal to use F – B for two very different purposes Late breaking news! Proposal to use C – D for radioactive storage dump. Paul C Czarapata
