  2. Lost Generation Today’s objective is that you define your responsibility to your generation.

  4. Lost Generation Prediction: The video you are about to watch is called Lost Generation. This video is in some ways a description your generation. Given the title Lost Generation, predict the ways your generation might be described in the video. What points might be made about you? How would you describe your generation? (1 minute)

  5. Pair-Share Protocol • Create partners, identify “one” and “two”; number two share first. Then number one. • Demonstrate respect by listening actively and being courteous (four L’s plus “thanks”): *Look: face partner, make eye contact *Lean: lean forward and nod as appropriate. *Listen: demonstrate listening by repeating, summarizing or commenting on some of what your partner said prior to speaking. *Low Voice: use a partner voice—loud enough for your partner but not others, to hear. *Thanks: Thank your partner for sharing his/her ideas. 3. Be prepared to share either your own or your partner’s idea.

  7. Lost Generation Quick-Write Directions: Skip one line and write: Reflection Respond in writing to both reflection questions. Write nonstop without concern for writing conventions. The writing is a thinking tool and the time is strictly for thinking.(4 minutes) 3. Read over your reflections. Underline your most interesting ideas—those that you want to share with a partner.

In the beginning of the video, your generation is described as “lost.” What is your personal responsibility for making sure that this does not happen? What will you do to help your generation succeed?
