  5. Evaluations continued • Eight members strongly agreed that this SOLC event helped their organization to develop into a stronger team and 28 members agreed. • 32 members out of 61 members strongly agreed that SOLC helped them in making progress towards their goals.

  7. Facilitator 2: Lauren M. • 13 members of the group said she completely connected with the group and 30 said very much • 15 members stated that she was extremely competent during the event and 24 said very competent • 20 members stated that she was extremely competent during the event and 21 said very competent • Comments: very enthusiastic, very nice, kept our attention, don’t chew gum.

  8. Overall Comments • Activities were fun • Did well • Facilitators had a good attitude • Facilitators tried hard however could have done a better job • Need to explain things more clearly • Was a fun time and I got to know some people better

  9. Overall Success • Goals: Team building, Bonding, Get to know each other better • The games we did helped the members to get to know each others names. They wanted to get to know one another and this is the first step to that. • 41 members all said that team work and team building were worked on which is what they asked to get out of this retreat.

  10. Things to work on for future retreats • Some of the comments stated that we could have been more organized- this means we need to have better communication as facilitators and have a better plan before hand • Other comments said we need better methods of getting their attention • This was a group of 70 girls and it was hard to keep them all focused. Instead of using one method the entire time to get their attention we should switch it up for next time.

  11. Delta’s continued • Set a minimum time limit. 1.5 hours is not enough with a group this large • Take advantage of all facilitators and observers • Have more back up games • Plan out the retreat more in detail • Find better ways of keeping the group engaged.

  12. Reflection • Picturing 70 members at a retreat was easier said then done. At first it did not seem overwhelming until I was at the actual retreat standing before 70 girls. • The retreat was only for an hour and thirty minutes, so I think next time in order to thoroughly get an experience and really get to know new members we should see if organizations would want to have a longer time expand for a retreat. • Next time I think we can do more games that really make them interact with each other more and watch them do the discuss among each other, so they can really get to know each other.
