  5. Evergreen • Started in 2004, using open source development principles • Designed to be robust and scalable • It was the first consortial library system (CLS) • And still the only CLS • Went live in September 2006 with the migration of PINES to Evergreen

  6. PINES Today • 50 Public Library Systems • Georgia Public Library Service (the state library of Georgia) • 275 “org units” • 17.3 million circulations in 2008 • Often more than 100,000 circs per day
