CHEMICAL SPILL FLOW CHART PROCEDURE Minor Major Notify others in immediate area that spill has occurred Evacuate area and close all doors Isolate area, Don PPE Notify Security 692-1911 JABSOM EHSO 692-1854 • Control spread of liquid by containing spill • Neutralize acid / bases • Place absorbent materials from spill’s outer edges towards center Document incident Notify Supervisor, JABSOM EHSO Prevent others from entering area Collect and contain cleanup material into container Decontaminate area and equipment
