  3. Design The 2014 Santa Fe Sport offers a signature design with differentiating elements of the side view daylight opening (side window shape). The 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T is fitted with brand new standard 18-inch wheels. All Santa Fe models are equipped with HID headlights and LED taillights for a striking appearance at night.

  4. Equipment The 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport comes equipped with two engine models. The Theta II GDI 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) fuel delivery system contributes to better fuel efficiency and lower emissions for the Santa Fe Sport. The direct injection also utilizes higher-than-normal 11.3 compression ratio for increased power and also features best-in-class power-to-weight ratio. The all-aluminum, high-tech 16 valve engine also features Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (DCVVT) and a Variable Induction System (VIS) for better engine breathing. For more power, the 2014 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T combines both GDI technology and a turbocharger.

  5. Performance All Santa Fe engines are mated in Hyundai’s six-speed automatic with SHIFTRONIC® manual control. This transmission offers smooth shifts and a wide ratio spread that suits the engine’s characteristics. Also, an optional Active Cornering Control All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system is available, which cooperatively helps control torque and braking in conjunction with the vehicle Stability Management System.

The VSM works with two effects: when a driver accelerates or brakes on a slit-mu surface and the vehicle wants to pull in one direction, and counters the pull and automatically provides counter-steering. The VSM reacts the same way during sudden lane changes or fast cornering. All 2014 Santa Fe models feature seven airbags. This includes side curtain airbags and a driver’s knee airbag along with rollover sensors for the side curtain airbags. When sensors in the 2014 Santa Fe detect a potential rollover, the control module triggers the head-curtain side airbags and safety belt pre-tensioners to help protect passengers against injury.
