  4. The construction of the palace began in the sixteenth century. The project was developed by brothers Ponselle, commissioned by Nicolo Grimaldi, Duke and Prince of Eboli Salerno. Starting from mid-century palace is home to the city of Genoa. The facade has a range of ashlar above which are placed two sets of windows in overlapping orders. The first set of windows is included in masks, the second in timpani of classic taste.

  5. The materials used for the construction of the façade create a play of colors between the Carrara marble, slate and stone of Finale. On the marble portal is placed the emblem of the city. The conformation of the land was exploited for the unusual layout of the spaces. Be put in evid elements of the inner court higher than the porch and double staircase. The painted decoration of the rooms is the work of F. Gandolfi, N. Barabino. Rudolph the Red Palace or Palace and Francesco Maria Brignole is a building located in Via Garibaldi at number 18 in the historic center of Genoa, added on July 13, 2006 in the list among the 42 enrolled Rolli palaces of Genoa became the heritage of that date ' humanity by UNESCO.
