  4. Salaries The average salary between all the states is $52,000 The average salary for Maryland is $43,000

  5. Education Required • Associate of Applied Science degree • You also need the Certificate • “The Bachelor of Science in Sign Language Interpreting (SLI) is designed for students who have completed an associate degree in sign language interpreting”

  6. Continued… • An associates degree is normally required along with continued classes and certification • A bachelor’s degree will make you more competitive • July 1, 2012 a bachelors degree will be required
