Important Dates • Filing: August 20th – September 7th • W-9, Receipts: September 7th, 5:00pm
Budget Rules – Common Pitfalls • Lodging: limit $35 per person per night (ergo $35 X 2 people X 3 nights = $210 max) • All vehicles at the University rate of 55.5₵ /mile • $500 limit on speaker stipend • Student Government must be included in the budget! • Revenue must equal expenses!
Budget Rules – Common Pitfalls • Budget Inflation: Don’t do it, we’ll know • Matching Rule: Student Government can only match funds that the club themselves possess (if you want $1000 from us, you need $1000 of your own funding) • $700 Rule
Help Sessions - MANDATORY • Help Session 1 & 2: August 27 ~ 7:00-7:45, 7:45-8:30 • Help Session 3 & 4: August 28 ~ 7:00-7:45, 7:45-8:30 • Help Session 5 & 6: September 6 ~ 7:00-7:45, 7:45-8:30 • Help Session 7 & 8: September 7 ~ 7:00-7:45, 7:45-8:30 • All sessions take place in Senate Chambers H314.

First Amounts • Mark Up: September 15th – September 16th • Notification of initial amounts: September 16th • What if groups are not happy? – Appeals • File notice of appeals: September 18th, 5:00pm • Appeals: September 19th – September 21st
Final Amounts • First reading: Wednesday, September 19th • Second reading: Wednesday, October 3rd • Notification of final amounts: Thursday, October 3rd • Estimated check arrival:First two weeks of November • Note that checks can be used to reimburse expenses
