  9. 3GPP2 and India: Innovation Partnership • 3GPP2 believes that the 3GPP2 Vision addresses many of the needs of the Indian market. • Some recommendations from the Indian market currently under consideration in 3GPP2 include: • Low-power RAN • Lower-power BTS strategies • Reduce power consumption from BTSs at nighttime Direct involvement of the Indian wireless industry to develop 3GPP2 specifications will ensure that 3GPP2 fully meets the needs of the Indian community.
