Enhancing Marine Research: The Contributions of the Sensors and Moorings Group

The Sensors and Moorings Group, comprising 12 dedicated individuals, focuses on profiling, towed, and moored instrumentation to further marine research. Our projects, including RAPID, ECOMAR, PAP, and Arctic gateway initiatives, aim to advance knowledge in oceanography. We are also working on future developments such as the Station India and the Garabatto MMP array. With ongoing efforts in DIMES, SASSI in the Weddell Sea, and addressing future challenges, we integrate new technologies and foster collaborations to retain essential skills and knowledge in marine sciences.
