Join us for Cuboree 2014, an unforgettable four-day camping experience filled with exciting activities led by dedicated Leaders, Venturers, and Rovers! Cubs will sleep in tents with peers from their district, participate in fantastic organized activities, and enjoy nightly entertainment. From September 29 to October 3 at Gilwell Park, Gembrook, it's a perfect opportunity to make new friends and create lasting memories. What is Cuboree?? • 4 fun filled days packed with activities run by Leaders, Venturers and Rovers!!! • Sleep in tents with Cub Scouts from your district. • Each camp site consist of: • 7 Cub Scout Leaders • 36 Cubs • 3 Cooks • A great place to make new friends and meet new people! • Fantastic entertainment each night • An event you will NEVER FORGET!!

  3. Where and When? • Gilwell Park, Gembrookabout a 45min bus trip from East Bentleigh. • 29 September- 3 October (Second week of holidays) • Lots of walking ! This is a BIG Site

  4. Who can go to Cuboree?? • Great question! To be eligible your Cub must: • Be born after 28 September 2003 • Have earned your Camp Out Badge. • Had 2 consecutive nights under canvas with our pack • Attend at least 2 sleepovers • Practice packing a bag four days/nights duration over the school holidays. Cub Scouts only use that gear over the four days.

  5. Activities at Cuboree • 2 organized activities on Tue, Wed & Thur. Each activity runs for about 2 hours • One day will be off site activities for each Sub-camp • 1 wet & Muddy activity onsite (lots of fun!) • Activities at Cherry Laneto entertain cubs and leaders upon arrival and one last visit before heading home. • Evening entertainment each night which last for about 1 hour.

  6. Camp Welfare • If you are worried about how your Cub will cope, don’t be!. • If needed, there is wonderful support provided in the Sub-camps as well as central support provided by Cuboree, they are: • First Aid Central • Medical facility(Doctors and Nurses)

  7. So how much does it cost? • Cub Scouts: $390.00 • Once Group Leader (Dale)/ Akela (Caroline) has approved your application, an invoice is generated and sent to the email address listed on the application. • First payment is due on application ($195.00) • Second payment is due Monday, July 14th. • Please note that there are cancellationspolicies and they are strictly enforced.

  8. So what do I need to take? • This will be discussed at a later date, so don’t worry! • We advise that you start looking for a sturdy, easy-to-construct stretcher. Cubs must be able to put it up and take it down by themselves. So start practicing!.
