  2. What is Marijuana? Marijuana is a green, brown or gray mixture of dried shredded leaves, stems & flower of the hemp plant. Known in the streets as pot, herb, weed, grass Mary Jane, chronic, skunk, blunt or roach. Most often referred to in grams or ounces.
  3. Ethics Of Weed Pros Cons Damages brain lungs, heart, & immune system. Cancer causing compounds. Addictive Interferes with fertility Bad influence; commercials/advertisements. Relieves types of pains. Less toxic than other drugs. Relaxing. Gateway Taxed Create jobs Money Less hazardous effects on society than legal drugs such as alcohol.
  4. Effects of Cannibas Cannibas has psychoactive & physiological effects when consumed, such as increased heart rate, lowered blood pressure, impairment of short-term & working memory. Deaths associated to cannibas overdose are exceptionally rare. Fatalities resulting from cannibas overdose are said to most often occur after intravenous injection of hashish oil.
  5. Medical Use Cannibas used medically has several well-documented beneficial effects. Among these are; the amelioration of nausea & vomiting, stimulation of hunger in chemotherapy and AIDS patients, lowered intraocular eye pressure(glaucoma), as well as general analgesic effects(pain reliever). Currently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration(FDA) has not approved smoked cannibas for any condition or disease in the United States, largely because good quality scientific evidence for its use from U.S. studies is lacking.
  6. How is Weed used? Topical: lip balm, creams, oils & sprays Oral Ingestion: brownies, cookies, pills Combustion: vaporizers, smoking; bongs, pipes & joints Can be used to boost your health. Used as a medicine to relieve types of pains, relaxing effect & providing relief to inflammations.
  7. Why should Marijuana be legalized? Prohibition has failed to control the use & production of marijuana, prohibition is based on lies and disinformation. The government has tried to use criminal penalties to prevent marijuana use over 75 years and yet: marijuana is now used by over 25 million people annually. Cannibas is currently the largest cash crop in the United States & is grown all over the planet. Arrests for marijuana possession disproportionately affect blacks and Hispanics & reinforce the perception that law enforcement is biased and prejudiced against minorities. A regulated, legal market in marijuana would reduce marijuana sales and use among teenagers, as well as reduce their exposure to other drugs in the illegal market. Legalized marijuana would reduce the flow of money from the American economy to international criminal gangs.
  8. Final Thoughts of Marijuana Marijuana should be legal because it would help the tax-payers. A lot of people who are against marijuana and legalizing it think it kills brain cells, but it doesn’t. Our bodies produce the chemical componet of marijuana that gets you “high”, tetrahydrocannibinal. If marijuana is so illegal and not good for you why do physicians prescribe it to people?
