Join us for the Annual Counselor Breakfast, designed to facilitate the transition from middle school to high school. Hosted by the counseling department at Flood Middle School, this event features Team Comets (Mr. Cohen), Team Freedom (Mrs. Dobosz), and Team Pi (Mrs. Martin Hayduk). We will discuss course selections, elective choices, and the credit system, as well as highlight extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, and the marching band. Attend to gain valuable insights into the transition process, recommendation criteria for 8th to 9th grade, and engage in a Q&A session.

Recommendation Criteria for Grade 8 to 9: The following criteria are to be used as a guide in determining the placement of students in grade 9. Teachers may use the “override sheets” to justify recommendations outside this criteria.
