Sales Promotion Catalogue Sales promotion catalogue - Is the repository of various promotion schemes that can be applied across the chain Features of sales promotion catalogue in Shoper 9 HO: Provision to define schemes that can be applied to specific showrooms. Provision to define schemes for selected periods, merchandise, customers, and so on. Multiple schemes can be defined to be implemented during the same period. Provision to assign priority for each scheme. Schemes defined can be sent to various locations according to their applicability.
Enhancements in Rel 1.4 • Defining sales promotion has been made extremely simple by a new user interface. • Capability to define promotions based on any of the item classifications configured in Shoper 9. • The definition details like selection of the promotion type, configuration details and header details pertaining to the previous definition are preserved for use in new definition. This reduces the user inputs. • Optimisation in terms of speed when loading large number of item attribute details of the items to be defined in a promo, from an external file (CSV). • Supports concurrent definition by multiple users. • While defining sales promotions for a single showroom, only those items applicable to that showroom are available for selection.
Cataloguing Sales Promotions While cataloguing sales promotions at HO, you have to: Specify the showrooms/ category of showrooms to which the sales promotion schemes being catalogued are applicable Showroom selection can be done at the following levels: Geographical Location Level Location Type Level Specific Showroom Level Note: While defining sales promo schemes at Shoper 9 HO, if the selected showrooms are on different versions of Shoper 9 POS, only those sales promo features that are compatible with the oldest of these versions, will be available. If you want to use the latest features of sales promo, then select only those showrooms that are on latest version.
Viewing/ Modifying Sales Promotions View option allows you to view/ modify an already defined sales promotion scheme. The operations allowed under this option are: View the sales promotions defined at HO Activate sales promotions De-activate sales promotions Change applicable period for sales promotions Archive sales promotions Set priority for sales promotions Edit showroom details
Exporting Sales Promotions to POS Locations You can export the sales promotions defined at HO to the POS locations across the chain by the following methods: Scheduled Synchronisation – to export data as per the automated schedule defined using scheduler Manual Synchronisation – to export data manually

Guidelines and Best Practices Give meaningful promo codes and descriptions. This helps the person who does the billing to choose the right promo code by reading the description, during billing. In sales promotion catalogue, keep only those promos which are applicable. Keep specific validity periods for each promo. Use the option Copy From to copy the details of an existing promo while cataloguing promos with only slight variations from the existing one. Priority should be set based on the preference of application of promos in billing.
Guidelines and Best Practices Make sure to enable sales promotions applicable to the newly added items as well. This helps to make the newly added items part of the promo. In a chain store environment, it is always better to catalogue sales promotions at HO and populate it to the POS locations. This helps HO to have complete control on the promos running at POS locations.
