Affirmative T ú Commands. Unidad 4, Etapa 1. Before we start……. Affirmative- positive (as opposed to negative) Tú command- to be used when talking to friends and family only!. To tell a person to do something, use an affirmative t ú command. EX: Walk! EX: Eat! EX : Turn!

  2. Before we start……. Affirmative- positive (as opposed to negative) Tú command- to be used when talking to friends and family only!

  3. To tell a person to do something, use an affirmative túcommand EX: Walk! EX: Eat! EX: Turn! EX: Read! EX: Open it! EX: Write!

  4. To construct the túcommandsfollow this rule…… RULE: Use the éL/ella form of the present tense verb. I know it is called a “Tú command” but you have to use the éL/ellaform of the verb!!!!

  5. How does it work???? Ex: Walk! So you would say: ¡Camina!-Walk!

  6. Another example Ex: Eat! So you would say: ¡come!-eat!

  7. Using the túcommands with a D.O.P. Ex: CROSS it! (la calle) So you would say: ¡crúzala!-cross it!

  8. Now you try!! Run! Write! Read! Listen to her! Drive it! (la moto) Open it! (el libro) Play it! (el tenis)

  9. Now you try!! Corre! Escribe! Lee! EscÚchala! manÉjala! (la moto) ábrelo! (el libro) juégalo! (el tenis)
