  3. The Beginning Teacher Track • Generates reliable and useable data to support decisions regarding retention and eventually tenure • Help staff develop professionally and personally • Support the practice of reflection and professional learning

  4. The Professional Development Track • Evaluation alternatives – • Action research – individuals or groups identify and solve a problem • Curriculum development – designing a curriculum or a curriculum component and analyzing the impact on student learning • Instructional strategies implementation – teacher(s) investigate, implement and analyze the effectiveness on student learning

  5. Peer Consultation/Coaching – teachers use clinical supervision to help each other grow professionally • Professional growth portfolio – teachers collect, display and reflect on their professional growth (standards based) • Structured professional dialogue/study groups/support teams – small groups of teachers gather regularly for focused discussion
