  2. How can businesses make use of email. (P) • Businesses can send deals but also can receive feed back from costumers on there service or a product. Some websites will send you updates on the business theses are more like groups or clubs.

  3. Sending an email to a number of different people. (P) • When sending an email you must make sure its spelt and punctuated correctly stuff like i also you should make it formal to read. There is a system could cc or bcc cc stands for carbon copy which means its sent to a person but others can read it, Bcc means its hidden from other people.

  4. Sending, receiving and opening attachments safely. (P) • Before opening an email normally your anti virus scans it but be careful on the links, read them if they sound fake they probably are fake but come on a iPod 4 generation for £5? also don’t open unknown emails from a unfamiliar address.

  5. Risks of opening attachments and how to reduce the risk. (P) • Anti virus will always scan an attachment but with out the attachments can have a lot of nasty's in the like viruses, computer crashes and the infamous ‘ILOVEYOU’ virus the best way to combat them if to read the subject line and also don’t except from an unknown sender.

  6. Using appropriate subject and message text. (P) • Using the subject line is very important for receiving an email if the line is blank you don’t know A: who's it from until you open it but run the risk o it being spam and B:not knowing what the letters is about.

  7. Appropriate use of Forward and Reply. (M) • When forwarding an email you have got to be careful of who and what your sending because we have all seen or heard about sending a wrong letter what a someone isn't meant to read e.g. like a surprise party invite or a letter about someone to the person its about.

  8. What is an email signature? • An email signature is a little block of text saying stuff like name, address, company all to show its sent from the company some have a hand writhen signature at the bottom of the block. AF - 1

  9. When to use CC and BCC • You use cc for a multiple copy imagine you talking to someone and another person is listening openly but bcc is the oppositeits someone being able to read the email with out the receiver knowing. AF - 2

  10. Setting Priority (high and low importance) • Setting priority is useful because for example if you work in a school then a email of the head teacher is more important the best deals In store today its another way to filter your emails. AF - 3

  11. Setting up and using spam filters • Spam filters are used to stop the annoying adverts and viruses that company’s send you the simplest way to explain it is the block an email address or read the subject line to stop it coming through. AF - 4

  12. Use of an address book An address book is just like you contacts on you phone it comes in use if you have to send a lot of emails to the same person or place. AF - 5

  13. Setting an automatic response (e.g. out of office) • Setting an automatic response will send a message to the send saying I'm out of the office they sometimes have an emergence number on it but it just stops people thinking your blanking them. AF - 6
