Engagement with Prospective Member • Personal (email and phone) contact with the Prospective Member • Meet for coffee and or invite to a meeting • If at a meeting sit with the prospective member • Provide club meeting options and information about other clubs • Gain understanding the Prospective Member’s expectations of being a Rotarian • Provide information about all club activities and the benefit Rotary International provides to communities worldwide

New Member Continued Engagement • Provide the new member with our club’s Welcome Book containing: Club Organization, New Member Assimilation, Fellowships, Club Traditions, Fundraisers, Our Website, District 7620, Rotary International • Describe and assign Red Badge activities to meet other members • Actively invite the new member to club activities • Review club committees and have the new member join at least two • Invite the new member to a New Member Orientation meeting • Explain benefits of attending RLI, District and RI events • Ask the new members to select a mentor

Remain in Contact After the Red Badge Year • Continued contact with Mentor (if one selected when joining) • Ask the member to due a classification speech • Track member’s engagement with club activities, if there is a drop off in engagement find out why • Ask to continue in RLI and to become a club committee chair • Ask to be part of our volunteer Tete to Tete program, (a one on one meeting arranged by a blind draw with another club member). • Always provide transparency with club leadership • Ask to be part of the club leadership
