  2. Types of Nonfiction • Biographies tell the story of someone’s life and are told from the perspective of another writer.

  3. Types of Nonfiction • Autobiographies tell the story of the author’s life and reflect the writer’s thoughts and feelings about events.

  4. Types of Nonfiction • Journals and diaries are records of daily events and the writer’s thoughts and feelings about them.

  5. Types of Nonfiction • Essays and articles are brief written works about a certain topic. The purpose might be to explain, persuade, or inform.

  6. Types of Nonfiction • Informational texts are commonly found in everyday life. • Examples include textbooks, instructions, and manuals.

  7. Organization • Chronological organization presents details in the order they happened.

  8. Organization • Compare & Contrast shows the ways two subjects are similar or different
