Embracing My Future: A Journey into Makeup and Self-Discovery

My name is Celeste Gutierrez, and I'm a realist with a passion for makeup and helping others. Born in Porterville, California, on December 16, 1994, I am the oldest of three children. I enjoy long walks, tanning, and reading makeup tutorials. Throughout my senior year, I actively participated in FBLA and the French Club, and wrote expository journals reflecting on how cosmetics influence self-confidence. My ambition is to attend The London School of Beauty and Makeup, aspiring to become a media makeup artist and ultimately open my own salon.

  2. This is me • I’m a realist • I am easy to love • I was born in Porterville, California • Born on December 16, 1994 • I am the oldest of three children • Hobbies: going for long walks, tanning, watching makeup tutorials, reading magazines • Actives: FBLA, French Club, Volunteering

Senior writing Journals Expository Wrote about how cosmetics influences self confidence I gave examples of categories in which people were most self cautious about and how makeup helps turn that around • I wrote a journal a month Con: it was hard for me to find topics to write about at times, annoying Pro: it gave me time to reflect on my senior year

  4. Job shadow • Mercy’s hair salon. • Spent the day with Mercy Hernandez. • Salon owner and also a hair stylist. • I learned how to speak to clients, and topics I shouldn’t talk about. • One of the greatest experiences I’ve had.
