  1. No. 0911 December 2009 UDEC Newsletter Dear Friends and Partners The year is rushing to an end and there is still lots to do and to finalize before we can all go on a well-deserved break. As mentioned in our previous newsletter, Barbara was indeed travelling quite extensively during the third and fourth quarter of 2009; visiting clients, partners and suppliers in Johannesburg, Sasolburg, Secunda and Durban. Thank you everyone for welcoming Barbara on her visits! Anders Skeini, the CEO / owner (and our partner of almost a decade) of JACOBI Carbons visited South Africa in November. It was indeed a pleasure to welcome him again and introduce him to some of our new clients in Johannesburg! Unfortunately the scheduled visit of Alexandre Terrigeol from CECA has been postponed and has been rescheduled for early in the New Year. We are also looking forward to welcoming Lothar Karrer from BASF in early February. We are pleased to introduce you to a new member of our team! On the 2nd of November Ms Trudy Janse van Rensburg joined UDEC. She will mainly assist Barbara in sales and marketing. We hope you will soon have the chance to talk to her. Our annual Year End function was held at the Perabo farm on the majestic Hawekwas Mountains just outside Wellington. As they say, pictures say more than a thousand words so we have included lots for you to enjoy. As this is our final Newsletter for 2009; we would like to wish you all a wonderful Festive Season. We all look forward to talking to you in 2010!  Your UDEC team!
