Areas of Celebration • Chinese communities in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. • Areas influenced by Chinese culture – Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Japan and Korea.
Legend • Chang E flew to the moon • Become immortal
Origin • Tang Dynasty , 7th century, started to celebrate Moon Festival. • Autumn is a harvest season • Celebrate with big harvest with parties, singing, composing poems, enjoying moon cakes and fruits under the bright beautiful moon.
