SmartJCL is a JCL Checker • SmartJCL checks JCL • Syntax • Dataset allocation • Program found / not found, ... • SmartJCL provides additional functions like • Reformat • Remote check • REXX Interface (to do your own checks) • Scheduler Interface (TWSz, Control-M) • In combination with the handover system ProcMan, SmartJCL becomes a useful JCL change management tool: • Move JCL through all development stages, e.g. from the test system to the integration system to the production system • The handover process log and all JCL-Versions are kept in a database (to be reviewed e.g. by auditors)
