This concept examines the evolution of thought and knowledge throughout life, categorized into four realms: Belief, Understanding, Faith, and Knowing. Each realm represents a different stage of human cognition and experience—from the limitations of mere belief to the expansive realm of self-enlightenment. Belief, often externally influenced, leads to confusion without deeper understanding. By cultivating scientific thinking, one transitions to a mixed state of inquiry. Faith brings forth self-realization, while Knowing leads to eternal peace. A visual representation enhances this exploration of human understanding.

THOUGHT EVOLUTION All the possible knowing/ understanding/ feeling/ thinking from birth to death can be broadly categorized into four distinct realms like either BELIEF (received from outside) or UNDERSTANDING (belief along with cultivating one’s rational ability of scientifically thinking) or FAITH (gained through experience and reflection) or KNOWING (exposed through realization and divine bliss). As long as one is circumscribed only by belief systems his/her existence revolves around confusions and disputes. It is the zone of pure Bhoga. With understanding, one is pushed into the era of scientific inquiry. It is the zone of mixture of Yoga and Bhoga. Still higher zone of faith (zone of pure Yoga) involves the process that leads to Self-realization, Self-stabilization and then Self-expression. The zone of Self-enlightenment continues infinitely with eternal peace. The following pictorial representation crystallizes the above idea.
