  2. Personality Keith or Two-bit Mathews is a wisecracker who always has to get his two-bits worth in. He thinks everything he says is so funny that everyone has to know it.

  3. Age and Appearance • Two-bit is the oldest of the gang at eighteen. He has rusty brown sideburns and is six feet tall. He has gray eyes and a big grin.

  4. Thing He Cares About • He likes making wisecracks to everyone around him, the gang, blondes, and school. Even at eighteen he’s still a junior and only goes for kicks.

  5. Background • Two-bit is famous for making wisecracks (so much that his teachers still call him Two-bit), shoplifting, and his black-handled switchblade (a result of the shoplifting talent).
