Assembly 1 Set working directory: File -> Set Working Directory -> give the file name -> OK Create an assembly -> New -> Assembly (don’t choose default template) -> select start_assembly_mmns -> OK Assemble or Insert -> Component -> Assemble -> select the prt file you want to open -> Open Select different constraints: Automatic, Align, Mate, Target , etc.-> Select two components -> Done

  2. Assembly 2 Assembly with Default constraint: Assemble (or Insert -> Component -> Assemble ) -> select one *.prt file you want to open -> Open Select Default constraint (for first input *.prt file, you much use Default constrain) Check STATUS: No Constraints/PartiallyConstrained/Full Constrained “V” Done “X” Delete

  3. Assembly 3 Assembly with Automatic constraint: Assemble -> select one *.prt file you want to open -> Open Select Automatic constraint Select two references (e.g. Axis, edge) Check STATUS: No Constraints/PartiallyConstrained/Full Constrained “V” Done “X” Delete

  4. Assembly 4 Assembly with Align constraint: Assemble -> select one *.prt file you want to open -> Open Select Align constraint Select two Axes or surfaces Check STATUS: No Constraints/PartiallyConstrained/Full Constrained “V” Done “X” Delete

  5. Assembly 5 Assembly with Mate constraint: Assemble -> select one *.prt file you want to open -> Open Select Mate constraint Select two Surfaces Check STATUS: No Constraints/PartiallyConstrained/Full Constrained “V” Done “X” Delete

  6. Assembly 6 Assembly with insert constraint: Assemble -> select one *.prt file you want to open -> Open Select insert constraint Select two Surfaces Check STATUS: No Constraints/PartiallyConstrained/Full Constrained “V” Done “X” Delete

  7. Assembly 7 Assembly with Targe constraint: Assemble -> select one *.prt file you want to open -> Open Select Targe constraint Select two Surfaces Check STATUS: No Constraints/PartiallyConstrained/Full Constrained “V” Done “X” Delete

  8. Assembly 8 Assembly with Coordinate System constraint: Assemble -> select one *.prt file you want to open -> Open Select Coordinate System constraint Select two Coordinate system Check STATUS: No Constraints/PartiallyConstrained/Full Constrained “V” Done “X” Delete

  9. Explode & Unexplode To explode: View -> Explode -> Explode View To unexplode: View -> Explode -> Unexplode View To explode by hand: View –> Explode -> Edit position To save the explode: View -> View Manager -> Explode -> New -> Yes -> give a file name -> OK
