Discussion on Structural Analysis • Comment on obstacles and challenges encountered during the year. • Comment on outcomes of DBPs. • Can techniques impact new DBPs? • How did structural methods impact other research directions: fMRI and DTI? Shape driven segmentation? • Experience with getting Core 3 and clinical researchers to use these algorithms • Semi-automatic versus automatic segmentation • Bases for shape: spherical harmonics and spherical wavelets. Comment on other techniques (nonlinear): KPCA, GPCA • Registration: conformal mapping, optimal transport, particle based? • Experience combining statistical with geometric, pde, etc?
