  3. TriStar Ranking • Learned all about all aspects of sport memorabilia business • Structured work environment • Able to participate in weekly meetings and discussion • Had to work in the warehouse a lot more than expected • Not a lot of interactive communication

Internship Objectives • Learn how to plan and execute the next sport memorabilia and collectors show in San Francisco in May 2010. • Work with the logistics department to learn the different daily processes and duties of the department. • Learn about the marketing and sales of sports products, services and players. This includes shows, memorabilia, private athlete signings, trading cards and packaged goods. • Learn about the efficient and cost effective trading card operations, from the decision to create the product all the way to getting the product to store shelves

  5. Daily Assignments • Every Monday morning when I show up for work there is always an email for me explaining what I would be doing every day. The activities changed daily but I always worked in logistics in the afternoon. Sales • Processing mail in orders • Navision system (inventory) Celebrity Relations • Athlete paperwork • Mailings to agents/ players Internal Operations • Exhibitor information • Customer service • Creating travel schedule

Project Description Mail In/ Mail Order Process • When consumers place an order for an autographed item provided by Tristar or want to send their own item to be signed at a show or private signing, they are using the mail in/ mail order process. • All orders are put into the inventory system called Navision where all orders are tracked including the shipping and credit card processing

  7. Words of Wisdom • Always act professional when in the business setting, players and agents are always calling or coming to the office • Whenever communicating to staff either by email or phone always spell check and make sure the information is clear and effectively written • Maintain a positive attitude and it will help you get through the office work that is not fun • Always give your best effort, it will not go unnoticed
