Congratulations to Our AR Point Winners and Math Megaminds - Week of March 3-7, 2023!

This week in Mrs. Smith’s class, we celebrated Asa for passing the most A.R. tests, earning him a special prize! The class collectively took 67 A.R. tests—great job, Smarties! We also recognized students earning Math Megaminds bands in addition, subtraction, and mixed facts. In reading, we explored teamwork through our story "They Worked Together" and prepared for a quiz on Friday. Additionally, our spelling focus includes r-influenced vowel patterns. Let’s keep up the great work and prepare for upcoming events!

  7. Reading This week our story is They Worked Together. It is a non-fiction text about teamwork, people working together for a common goal. Our vocabulary words are: teamwork, partners, goal, explorer, patience, communication, difficult, and successful. There will be a quiz on Friday.

  8. Spelling Our spelling focus this week will be on r-influenced vowel patterns (er, ear, & eer).   9. This week we will be continuing our unit on fractions as we look at fractions on a number line. We will also be reviewing three-digit addition and subtraction. Don’t forget to continue practicing for the Math Megaminds challenge. We will take our mixed 9-18 facts test this Wednesday.
