Introduction: • The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, is an undefined region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. • The triangle does not exist according to the US Navy. Contrary to popular belief, insurance companies do not charge higher premiums for shipping in this area. • It is being said that the area of this triangle varies from 500,000 to 1.5 million square miles.
“Sea Mystery at Our Back Door” • The earliest incident recorded at Bermuda Triangle was on September 16, 1950.Two years later, Fate magazine published "Sea Mystery at Our Back Door", including the loss of Flight 19, a group of five U.S. Navy TBM Avenger bombers on a training mission. It was claimed that the flight leader had been heard saying, "We are entering white water, nothing seems right. We don't know where we are, the water is green, no white”
Star Tiger and Star Ariel G-AHNP Star Tiger disappeared on January 30, 1948 on a flight from the Azores to Bermuda. G-AGRE Star Ariel disappeared on January 17, 1949, on a flight from Bermuda to Kingston, Jamaica. Both were Avro Tudor IV passenger aircraft. Both planes were operating at the very limits of their range and the slightest error or fault in the equipment could keep them from reaching the small island. One plane was not heard from long before it would have entered the Triangle.
What people believe about Bermuda Triangle! • Many people believe it is a paranormal activity that occurs. • Others believe that aliens make this happen. • It's more like a theory that no one has been able to prove. Many that have "survived" tell stories that once they were in the area, a sudden black, electrical cloud would surround them, and make a hollow hole until they could finally get out.
What scientists think about Bermuda Triangle! • scientists have been trying to find answers. They have come to the conclusion that has left many in doubts. • Under the Bermuda area, there's a natural gas (methane) on the ocean floor. They believe that these bubbles explode and can get to the point of sinking a ship and making airplanes fall. The bubble has to hit the bottom of the ship exactly when it is on top of it and when it does, it engulfs it in water. The methane causes the plane to lose its lift and eventually crash.
Geomagnetic fields: • Strange disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle have been linked with evidence of compass and navigational problems, making geomagnetic fields a real, plausible case for disappearances in the Triangle. • Problems with magnetic equipment from geomagnetic fields is 5 of the top ten reasons the Triangle became mystified.
Is it really a mystery?? • According to The Skeptics Dictionary, many of the disasters claimed to have occurred in the area did not even happen in the Bermuda Triangle. • As the Dictionary points out, “The real mystery is how the Bermuda Triangle became a mystery at all.” Yet, although the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle has been put to rest by many credible researchers and scientists, the name and the mystery, continues on.
