  2. Objectives • Review current structure of SC ASHRM • Discuss opportunities for better alignment with national ASHRM • Discuss opportunities and proposal for growth and development of SC ASHRM

  3. SC ASHRM • South Carolina Chapter of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (SC ASHRM) • Affiliated with South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) as a personal membership society – operates in accordance with SCHA bylaws • Has own set of bylaws as well

  4. SC ASHRM Purpose • Educational programs and activities • Medium for interchange of ideas • Develop relationships • Forum for healthcare risk management issues and explaining impact

  5. SC ASHRM Membership • Dues - $80 per year • At least one annual SC ASHRM Meeting • Also co-host meetings with the SC Association for the Healthcare Quality (SC AHQ) • SC ASHRM Listserve • For each local chapter member that joins national ASHRM, the chapter receives $25

  6. SC ASHRM Governance • President - Chris Howe • President Elect – vacant • Immediate Past President – Sandra Thompson • Secretary – David Stuckey

  7. SC ASHRM Committees • Nominating Committee • Education Program Planning Committee • Ad Hoc Committees as needed

SC ASHRM - Opportunities • Revenue Growth • Vendor partnership opportunities • Increase membership growth • Diversify membership • Increase SC ASHRM Value to Membership • Evaluation of member needs • Creation of sub-committees to increase involvement • Align focus with national ASHRM • Advocate for RM needs
