  3. What is a pronoun? A pronoun is a word that takes the place of one or more nouns.

  4. Personal Pronouns • Mike and Laura took their bikes with them. • Weare going to the mall. • You can go with us.

  5. Relative Pronouns • The cell phone which I bought last week is already broken. • I remember the day that I met him like it was just yesterday. • I am going to the mall with whom I met yesterday.

  6. Demonstrative Pronouns • _______ tastes delicious. • Macy wrote ________ essay. • ________ belong to my mom.

  7. Indefinite Pronouns • Oneof the girls gave up her seat. • Is everyone happy with their gifts? • Nobody saw what happened.

  8. Reflexive Pronouns • I learned a lot about myself over the summer. (Myself refers back to I) • They should divide the candy among themselves. (Themselves refers back to they)

  9. Interrogative Pronouns • Whoowns that black Mercedes? • Whattime did you get home last night? • Whichpair of shoes are yours?

  10. Possessive Pronouns • That is my coffee cup. • Yours is over there on the carpet. • Their house is in Texas.

  11. Subject & Object Pronouns • She spends ages staring at the stars. (Subjective) • My mom gave me a dog for my birthday. (Objective)
