Slide 2: Basic Details •  Spain's greatest painter was also one of the supreme artists of all time. • Personal Information • Born in June 6, 1599 at Seville Spain • Father was of noble Portuguese descent education • First painted at the age of 24 after his marriage at 19 • Died at August 6, 1660

Slide 3: Timeline • 1599: June 6, born • 1618:Married • 1623: painted portrait of Phillip IV • 1629: Visit Italy, copied master pieces in Venice and Rome. • 1649: bought paintings by Titian, Tintoretto, and Paolo Verones. • 1660: Has charge of his last and greatest ceremony--the wedding of the Infanta Maria Theresa to Louis XIV of France. • 1660: Died.

  4. Slide 4: Accomplishments • Drew a portrait of King Phillip IV. • His talented painting provided examples to other artists at those times.

  7. Conclusion • Velazquez is one of the greatest artists that left their work in history. • His effort towards art made his works even better. • He provided examples of art techniques to future and present artists. • Diego Velazquez is ought to be remembered.
