Program Coordination in Nicaragua 2010-2011 Events: FCM, AMUNIC and VNGI participation in VVSG conference Knowledge-sharing: FCM shared MPED municipal selection report and presentations; VNGI shared ACB reports; VVSG shared MIC research and reports Mission participation: VNGI participated in MPED December Inception mission to Bolivia Informal communication - activity coordination

Challenges Not all CIB members engaged in MIC are also working on ACB, and vice versa Some models of decentralized cooperation have less clear connection to the National Association of Municipalities Annual planning cycles are not synched Project cycles not aligned (MPED in start-up phase, VNGI in evaluation phase, etc.

  5. Opportunities Activity/event coordination – especially on regional and global component Knowledge sharing – LED best practices and research Development of communications materials Potential regular coordination meetings Lead CIB member: document coordination role and share best practices
