  2. 2Ki 6:1 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. • 2Ki 6:2 Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.

  3. 2Ki 6:3 And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go. • 2Ki 6:4 So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.

  4. 2Ki 6:5 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed. • 2Ki 6:6 And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.

  5. 2Ki 6:7 Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

  6. God Wants to Help You With All Your Problems. • Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (Php 4:6)

  7. Who is to Blame? • For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.(Eph 6:12)

  8. Who is to Blame? • Was he careless? • He was aware of the Danger.

  9. Who is to Blame? • Deu 19:4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbor ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;

  10. Who is to Blame? • Deu 19:5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbor to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbor, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:

  11. Who is to Blame? • Was he careless? • He was aware of the Danger. • He knew the very spot where the axe head fell in.

  12. Who is to Blame? • 2Ki 6:6 "Where did it fall in?" Elisha asked. The prophet pointed to the place, and Elisha cut a stick and threw it into the water at that spot. The ax head floated to the top of the water.

  13. Who is to Blame? • Was he careless? • He was aware of the Danger. • He knew the very spot where the axe head fell in. • He Never Should Have Borrowed the Axe.

  14. The Greatest Miracle • Miracles are contrary to the law. • A greater Miracle than • Feeding the multitudes. • Walking on the water • Parting the Red Sea.

  15. A Story of Redemption

  16. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Rom 6:4)

  17. Conclusion • 2Ki 6:7 Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it. • Php 2:16 Holding forth, the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.
