Explore the origins of the American Revolution, a pivotal moment in history that shaped the United States. Beginning in the late 1500s, British adventurers created colonies along the East Coast, leading to tensions with Native Americans. By the 18th century, the colonists faced taxation without representation and rising prices on goods like sugar and tea. The Boston Massacre in 1770 and the Boston Tea Party in 1773 stirred revolutionary sentiments that ultimately sparked the fight for independence from British rule.
