  4. iCommand Schedule • Proof-of-Concept to start 11/1/04 • Participation from LSPs welcome, we will have limited licenses for the POC • Evaluation complete by 11/30/04 • Initial deployment for the admin core • Funding for remainder of campus TBD

  5. SESA Update • Provides a web based management tool for Symantec managed antivirus clients. • Distributed management for LSPs • Software arrived and installed on test system • Hardware ordered and due ~2 weeks • Demonstration next IT Briefing • Production 12/1/04

  6. Technical User Groups • Provides a forum for campus technical professionals to brainstorm on a regular basis • Each group has a campus sponsor and ITD representative assigned to the group • Group meets on a quarterly basis • Agenda items driven by the campus community

  8. myLSP Goals • Provide a tool for campus users to determine who and where to call for local support. • Provide a tool for Client Services and the campus IT members to identify and contact the appropriate local support provider.

  9. myLSP Architecture Goals • Distribute the management of the database • Rights for local support to add/delete members as required • Flexible to meet the unique needs of local support teams • Pull data from ESD for accuracy and to minimize data entry • Provide database of local support providers for authentication into “restricted” areas

General Concepts • Each school and major IT organization will have an “IT Team” • Each IT Team has one System Administrator • Add sub-teams and team members • Select what sub-teams are displayed and what contact information is displayed • Customize text for customers • Five access levels (System Admin, Team Admin, Tech Professional, Campus, non-Emory)
