  2. There are many symbols for the United States. A symbol is something that stands for something else. American symbols make us proud. The American Bald Eagle

  3. Our current president is George W. Bush. He is the 43rd President of the United States.

  4. Click to hear the National Anthem The American flag is a symbol of the United States. The American flag has changed many times.

  5. The capital of the United States in Washington, D. C. Today, there are fifty stars on the flag. Each star stands for a state in the United States of America.

  6. People have parades to celebrate the American flag. The flag is a symbol of our freedom.

  7. The Pledge of Allegiance is a symbol of the United States. It is a promise Americans make to support the United States of America.
