Las calaveras literarias son estrofas, poemas o frases creadas para el día de Muertos que se celebra en México el 1 y 2 de noviembre, en donde se le da una gran importancia y compite con el día de Halloween de los Estados Unidos que se hace el 31 de octubre.Las calaveritas mexicanas que es asi como se las llama son creadas por personas y tratan distintas tematicas como tambien formatos de estilo.
