Afkar TV presents 5-minute videos showcasing individuals with significant achievements or creative talents to inspire Arab youth. It aims to provide a platform for entertaining and motivational local content, encouraging the development of talents and self-esteem. Our objectives include promoting local talent and increasing youth self-esteem and cultural pride. Short-term goals involve building a YouTube channel with a viewership target, while long-term plans include transitioning to TV and expanding to a wider audience. Success is measured by viewership numbers, and the project is supported by volunteers with equipment provided by the Royal Film Commission.

You Create … We Appreciate What is Afkar TV ? “Afkar” means “Ideas” in English. Our TV broadcasts new ideas to Arab youth through The content consists of 5 minute videos presenting members of society who have accomplished something significant ,or who have a rather interesting and creative talent that they have developed and which would inspire others in developing their own. Why do we need Afkar TV ? Currently, there are no local media outlets for individuals to communicate their success stories. Afkar TV will provide an outlet for entertaining, motivational local TV content that hopes to inspire people to develop their own talent. • What are our objectives? • Encourage local talent by sharing their experiences with other members of the society. • Encourage Arab youth to develop their talents by connecting them with potential supporters. • Increase youth self esteem of their own people and their culture. • What are our action steps? • Short term: Create a you tube channel with a minimum viewership of 100 viewers per video. • Long term: Move to TV and become an official TV show. Spread to a larger market. • How will we measure our success ? • We measure the success of the channel using the number of hits on the aired video episodes. • How are we funded ?We are a team of volunteers who have the skills of filming, editing and marketing. The equipment will be provided by the Royal Film Commission, free of charge in support of the project.
